In the 1970-80s translucent roofs were a major ‘innovation’ because movers needed more and better in-body light. Lee Majors and the ‘Bionic Man’ was innovative TV back then too. Thankfully the world evolves. Today, LED lights have bridged the gap between bumping around blindly in the night and retaining full visibility regardless of the time of day. We’ve evolved our roof options accordingly. An Allvan body is meant to last you for decades. It is our opinion (and with all due respect to the see through roof material guys,) those roofs do not hold up as well as aluminum. Maybe for dock-to-dock applications, but your (pro mover) crews bump and rub too many things in any given day to use anything less than aluminum. The life of your body should NOT be shortened by the life of your roof.
